In the Classroom

Lesson Plans

Throughout my time at Auburn University, I have had the opportunity to plan and teach multiple lessons in several different classroom environments. I had the opportunity to observe and teach in 3 different classrooms at 3 different schools.

Listed below are lesson plans from lessons that I had the joy of teaching!

Attached below is a math lesson that I taught to a 3rd grade class at Wacoochee Elementary in Lee County, Alabama. In this lesson, we learned how to determine the unknown whole number in a multiplication or division equation relating three numbers. I taught this lesson during my Practicum Placement, in the fall of my senior year.

Math Lesson

Social Studies Lesson

Attached below is a lesson on Firefighters that I taught to a Kindergarten class at West Smith Station Elementary School in Lee County, Alabama. The Unit for this lesson was on community helpers. I taught this lesson during my lab placement, in the spring of my junior year.

Language Arts Lessons

Attached below are two language arts lesson that I taught to my kindergarten class at West Smith Station Elementary. I did one lesson on recalling information from texts and one lesson on the digraph "ch". In the lesson on recalling information, students also worked on their writing by writing the information they recalled into their daily writing journal. The lesson on the digraph "ch" was integrated with technology through the use of an online platform called "PearDeck". Students used iPads during this lesson.

Science Lesson

Attached below are two science lessons that I taught to my STEM class at Wacoochee Elementary. The first lesson I taught was on gravity and its downward force. Studnets got to do a gravity drop experiment. The second lesson i taught was on Renewable and Non-renewable energy. Studnets got to create their own source of renewable energy, a waterwheel!
